CLOSURE NEEDED

The best love I have ever had has left. He was suppose to come over one evening and he stood me up. He turned off his phone for 3 days and then wrote me an e-mail stating he just didn't love me enough to marry me, but i was the best think he ever had bla bla blaaa BULLSH**!. We weren't engaged- we just talked about it. We were on and off for a total of a year and a half. He won't speak to me, he won't have a conversation. We never had a fight! EVER! Our relationship (at least from my view) was perfect, easy and downright wonderful. Now, he's gone without any REAL words and I feel like a girl in a bad teenibopper romance who cries at the drop of a hat, thinks about skipping work to lay in bed, can't really function as a normal human being. How can I get closure when I'm doing a break-up by myself?

Wait a minute did we have the same boyfriend? My boyfriend ended our 2 1/2 yer relationship. He said he loves me but is not in love with me. He said I'm a perfect catch and any man would be lucky to have me. I feel the same as you, we had a great relationship, we communicated well and never argued. He said he can't continue because he feels too guilty because he can't give me the kind of love I deserve. I missed work friday and left work early today. I was doing fine but we met up yesterday for dinner which completely set me back. What are the rules on seeing each other

i think The Breakup Workbook may help you see the relationship from a different perspective and help you figure out what "really" went wrong. So sorry to hear about your break up. But maybe take some time to yourself. He may still call to help you get the closure you need. Or maybe an email? But for now, take a few days - watch movies, read books, do whatever you have to do to pass the time & get over the shock. Then deal with the breakup.

My heart goes out to you, and your boyfriend was wrong to leave without any mention or justified reason. (Mine is ignoring me for a few days at this moment). But all in all getting over a heart break without any clousure at all will be a struggle but you have to have faith that one day you will find happiness and clousure without that person, and depending on who you are that can be a long while, my only advice is to take each day step by step and you must VENT somehow, whether it be reading writing or go out with friends. Second you realize that if your relationship were perfect than wouldn't you still be together? There had to be a fault somewhere and all relationships have some, so in realizing you must stop reaching out to him and leave him alone until your stable enough to be rational about your relationship. For instance the good and the bad, which one really is outweighed, and were you both satisfied?
I hope I helped a little, I'm going through something to, its hard but I always pray about it and it helps me :)
