I'm pretty happy in my relationship right now, not that it's without it's problems. But, I'm commited to working through them.

There is just one problem that I have that I just can't shake. I hate one of my boyfriend's friends. And the part that sucks is that it is like one of his best friends, and I just can't stand the guy. He's a complete jackass. He thinks that he's hot shit and that no one can compare to him. Now that part, I would be able to ignore, but his friend keeps on making snide remarks about me to my face and to my boyfriend. And of course, my boyfriend has to tell me the stuff that he says. I think that my boyfriend is just venting about it to me, because it bothers him - but it bothers me so much more. And every time he says something to me about this friend, it makes me dislike him (bordering on hate) even more.

For example, my boyfriend bought me Uggs for Christmas (which I wanted) and his friend remarks, "Oh of course she would like something like that." Like wtf is that supposed to mean? Then he always comments about how I'm "high maintenance" which I'm not! I'm just girly, and I don't like to get dirty. That doesn't mean I'm high maintenance, I let my boyfriend do what he wants and I'm not needy at all. I just won't go camping because I'm not into roughing it, that does not equate to me being high maintenance. And he makes fun of me because I was a DD to a beer fest that I brought my boyfriend and brother & their friends too and didn't drink beer. I'm sorry that I don't like drinking beer, I thought that I was being nice being the sober one bringing everyone. And it's just comments like that all the time that really pisses me off. And his friend is just so fake around me. I can tell. It's like over the top ridiculous.

My boyfriend says that he defends me and tells his friend to stop it, but I think that he really needs to have a good talk with this friend and say its unacceptable to disrespect me like that all the time. I don't even want to go out with this guy anymore, because I can't pretend to like someone when I don't. I'll be stewing the whole time.

And I know it's his friend and they've been friends for a while, but friends don't do that. He's a complete and utter jackass. I know that my boyfriend wouldn't like it if my friends made all of these comments about him and acted all fake when they were together.

I don't want him to stop being friends with the guy for me, because I'm not like that. And I know that V is defending me to him and he tells me that he doesn't care what he says and that his friend is always like that. It's just ugh. It's probably just fresh right now and that's why I'm annoyed. Because he made another comment and it all just built up to this point.
