It was my birthday yesterday. I spent most of the day in Chicago because I was there for an interview the day prior. I came home and had a nice dinner and a couple drinks with close friends. It was a very low key birthday! Tomorrow I am leaving for Florida with 7 of my friends for spring break! I can't wait to relax on the beach and enjoy a few too many cocktails ;) I didn't get a happy birthday message from the ex. I can't say I was really expecting one and it is good that he didn't say anything because it probably would have just ended up confusing me. It's funny when you reach those milestones that happen every year because you can look back and see how different your life was a year ago. For example last year on my birthday my ex and I went out for a romantic dinner and then spent the following week on vacation with each other. It's so crazy that we aren't in each others lives anymore! BUT I am not complaining...those of you who have been reading my blog know that I had so much trouble getting to a point where I had to stop seeing and talking to my ex. I can say for sure that I am much happier not having any contact with him than I was when we were still texting and running into each other every where.
